Use of Web Images

I am happy that you are able to view my artwork on your computer. But please respect my copyright and my wishes in your use of these images.

For the dozens of people who are using my images on their websites and blogs, I would appreciate it if you copied the image to your own site, instead of fetching it from my site every time someone visits your page. And please put a credit or link to my site on or near the image.

Free e-cards are available on my site, and I don't mind if you print out my images and send them to friends, or tack them up on your wall. If you do share my images with friends, please include my name and the address of this website along with the image, so that I will get a little free publicity out of it. Thanks!

For the time being, in order to provide my viewer with a pleasant viewing experience, I have chosen not to deface the most of the displayed images of my work with prominent watermarks or other text or symbols to prevent unauthorized use. However, I DO mind if my images are reproduced or distributed for profit, or used without permission or credit in other people's websites, advertising, created images, etc. If you would like to use my images in any of these ways, please contact me for permission. I almost always give permission for casual use.

As everyone knows, the artist's copyright (which is automatic, regardless of whether a copyright notice appears on the work) prevents others from making commercial use of his/her image, from reproducing the image, from copying the image or parts of the image, and so forth. This copyright also applies to recognizable variations of the image. (In addition to the automatic copyright, my images are also registered with the Copyright Office, which means copyright violators are subject to large financial penalties under the law.)
